Sexual Assault Awareness Month

 April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and a number of other colleges/universities across the country.  In April, the Associate Dean of Students (ADS) will be hosting a number of educational and engaging activities for students, faculty/staff, and the campus community.  For more details on the planned events, please see below:

Painting for Awareness with Sofia

On April 3, 2019 the Inclusive Islander Network and the Associate Dean of Students will be hosting Islander Dialogue: Incels and the Sexual Economy. Insights and screening of the documentary Shy Boys will be shared by the documentarian and an expert panel.  On April 10, 2019  the ADS will host a painting event called Painting for Awareness with Sofia!  The event will feature instruction from Sofia Rodriguez, TAMUCC student.  Participants will paint a powerful design created by Sofia that highlights the importance of sexual violence awareness and prevention!

Denim Day is a national event hosted across the country during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  TAMUCC will be holding it's Denim Day on April 24, 2019 from 10:00am-2:00pm on the East Lawn!   ADS will be hosting information tables in April at TAMUCC.  For a schedule, please click above!

Volunteer Opportunities
