As a part of its annual Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Month, the Office of the Associate Dean of Students will be hosting its inaugural Islanders Race to Zero 5k walk/run! Islanders Race to Zero will take place on Friday, April 20, 2018 beginning at 6:45pm. The Islanders Race to Zero aims to raise awareness concerning issues of sexual violence. In addition to the walk/run, the event will feature a resource fair with campus/community resource tables and a candlelight vigil to honor victims of sexual violence. Our goal is that through education and advocacy, that the number of incidents of sexual violence will one day reach zero in our community. Proceeds from Islanders Race to Zero will benefit sexual violence prevention and awareness initiatives.
